Meet Jackie

Physical Therapist, Chestertown, MD

Jackie graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 2011. She started the path to physical therapy at Appalachian State University where she earned her major in Athletic Training and minor in Exercise Science. After graduation from her undergraduate studies she moved to Washington, DC to become a personal trainer for a health and conditioning club where she found an interest for living and promoting a holistic and well-balanced lifestyle.

As a physical therapist, Dr. Richards has a passion for biomechanical analysis, especially relating to running, yoga, and various recreational activities. She started her own business, Buscemi Integrative Physical Therapy, L.L.C. to provide the best quality care through one-on-one physical therapy treatments. She enjoys helping motivated people meet their personal or functional goals. Some of the most powerful interventions she uses are myofascial release, such as dry needling, training mind-body-breath connection, and postural restoration exercises. However, there is a lot accomplished just by lifestyle adjustments that Jackie discusses with all of her patients. All interventions she uses are aimed to empower the person to not only work through their myofascial restrictions, but also learn new patterns to keep their body from re-injury. Her motto is for her patients to “become their own PT” as she aspires to help people better understand and listen to their body in order to live a more pain free life and get back to activities they enjoy. She earned her 200-hour yoga certification at Holy Cow Yoga Studio in Charleston, SC as another tool to help her patients seek wellness through the mind body connection.

In late 2016 Dr. Richards and her husband Nate Richards, moved to Chestertown, MD.
